Dorset delights.

Chantmarle is a hidden gem situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The cottage dates back to the early 1900’s and was built as part of the Chantmarle estate. The stunning Grade 1 Manor (a private residence) is a short walk away as is the tiny medieval church of St Mary, sitting in a meadow on the outskirts of the hamlet.

Apple Tree Cottage may seem ‘far from the madding crowd’ but it provides an ideal stepping stone for exploring the local area.

Eat & Shop Local.

The picture postcard village of Cattistock is 1.5 kilometres from the cottage and has a well stocked village shop, a church and the Fox and Hounds pub, ranked as one of the oldest and best in Dorset!

Maiden Newton, is a further mile down the country lane and has two grocery stores, a newsagent, a petrol station, a pub and even a hardware store.
